First and foremost Happy Anniversary to this Masterpiece and Reference for all fragmovies 20 years it had been now, today, 22nd of November 2023, i watch once again "the scale for all quake frag movies" made by own-age a.k.a. Sean Kuehnel! Back in a time where you had so much to do with codecs to make your movie run on your PC :) What a great time the past was for gaming and online gaming, where internet felt like a free place for everyone, a playground, in a great community. I dont regret that time, where you brought your 20kg CRT to lans, and fix network before you even find someone in the LAN ... LoL they say.. the past is was always better. I want to say the same but i know its not true, the past was just different then nowadays. This message belongs to everyone who shared the same beauty and joy of playing Quake 3 Arena,the ups and downs, the trains, clanwars, tournaments, GTV live broadcasts, pubs, mIRC #Spontanctf =) and and and... Greetings to everyone out there who shared that wonderful time with me and others. Peace!

Salut Murah, ici Grizzly, ancien membre d|p et autres clans (PSY, 3XS, ...), le petit belge (avec Madmarc). Je me souviens de hayd, némo, hackam, coincoin, nosferatu, gory, .... Je revois cette vidéo, bien des années après et j'ai la larme à l'oeil. Ca me rappelle une époque bénie ou on passait des heures sur quake 3, les pickups, les chans IRC, les praccys, les league le dimanche (jolt, savage, barrysworld, l'eurocup clanbase), tout le monde se connaissait, ça chambrait et c'était toujours la bonne humeur (oui même si il y avait déjà des trolls à l'époque...). Des années plus tard, aucun jeu n'est jamais arrivé à sa cheville, même si j'ai eu de l'espoir avec QL et QC. J'espère que tout se passe bien pour toi et que la vie a été bonne avec toi. I still come back to this video, year after year.

20 years. fucking 20 years later, it's still a great video. But this also makes me feel very nostalgic and kinda sad. None of the websites in the credits exist. What is the editor up to these days? I feel like my teenage years are forever gone, which they are. I think this hits me right now as I just remember this frag video extremely well and being floored by it back then. Now it's like seeing an old friend. Hope Sean is doing well.

Quake 3 was the original "flow state" first-person-shooter. It's still probably unequaled in that aspect by any game to come out since.

Late 2022 and I'm still here admiring this timeless masterpiece. Those were the golden days of the best first person shooter ever. I am happy to have been there. Unmatched.

man... the announcer and sound effects will forever be the coolest. The game drips swag over 20 years later. Makes me feel old as hell. I remember I was too young to be very good at this game. And I played the shit out of it on my Dreamcast with my little brother.. The controls were wack but we played it so much we actually got damn good at it lol... played it on PC years later and was never able to get to a high skill level. The game is just so hardcore. Probably why its not popular anymore.. It just takes too much skill.. Games like COD that have a 1 second time to kill and its basically a coinflip of who shoots first is what the casuals and noobs like. Gaming becoming so mainstream has watered down the quality and difficulty of games by a huge margin.,

Probably the best audio ever in a quake movie. Great song choices, mixing and ingame effects. Like a proper DJ set with someone playing quake on the same output :D

Damn. I havent seen this video for ages... i remember having hard copy of oreginal on my pc. It was soo cool that it has few soundracks avaliable to choose! it was first time i have seen that level of production in my life. And i still have it! dated for 2004 ;D amazing stuff.
